We live in interesting times and are constantly confronted with issues and events which disturb, infuriate, amuse or concern us.  Participants are invited to bring news items, book reviews, editorials and any other articles of interest to discuss

 

 

 Discovering The District.

There are many places of historical,scenic or artistic significance within our Shire and nearby and we plan to visit these and arange for a guide/speaker to tell us about the locations. Always check wih Tutor 3 days before excursions.

French

Remember High School French?  Do you want to brush up the language for your trip overseas?  Do you just want to practise and enrich 'votre Francais' for the fun of it?  Well here is your chance.  Some knowledge of the language would be beneficial.

 History Through Music.

A journey through the major historical events and issues of each decade between 1930 to the present day. The music written about these, in the main protest music, will be listened to and discussed.

 

 

 

 

 Mind Games and Brain Gym.

Use it or lose it.  A fun course involving a wide variety of puzzles, word games, problem solving activities and light hearted competitions to keep the mind active and the brain agile.

 Open House and Community Conversations

Once a term we will have an open house where both members and non members can get together, listen to a speaker, and share morning or afternoon tea. AGM 28 April 1-3pm followed by speaker and afternoon tea.

 

Recorder Group

Open to both experienced players and those keen to learn. The course will teach recorder fingering, and give skils to enable solo and group playing.

 

Short Story and Poetry.

Spanish for Fun

An opportunity to practice and learn the basics of the Spanish language.  Details will be discussed in the first session.
