One of the main objectives of Neighbourhood Watch is to reduce the amount of preventable crime. This is achieved by getting the community to take an active role in their own crime prevention and safety.

Operation Identification
Security marking your valuable items with your drivers licence number preceded by the initial of the state of issue, enables its owner to be identified making stolen goods harder to re-sell.

Neighbourhood Watch Victoria Inc. has developed a "Virtual Car" tour that offers security advice about cars & motorbikes. Car-Safe® (the National Motor Vehicle Theft Reduction Council) also offers security advice and discounted installation of Immobilisers.
