DG's WEEKLY message
Rotary Friends
Last week I
provided information about the possibility for Rotarians to make donations to assist the
people in Innisfail who have been severely affected by Cyclone Larry. If any clubs decide
to support this disaster relief would they please let me know.
After the long planning of the district conference we attended RC Kyneton on Monday
evening where we had a relaxing time talking about the highs of the week-end.
On Tuesday morning I attended the District Executive meeting and on Wednesday we went to
the RC Melbourne for the induction of Dr David Kram and Bev Brock as members. On Thursday
evening I attended a meeting of the District leadership team Avenues of Service
Chairmen and on Friday I visited the RC Melbourne South where Rear Admiral Peter Briggs
was an excellent speaker.
On Saturday I attended the PETS seminar in Echuca where DGE Bernie Walshe was meeting with
the Presidents elect and their partners. The meeting started well and Im sure it was
a great weekend for our leaders next year.
On Sunday Fran and I had the great pleasure to host the GSE team from Korea for lunch
during their transfer from Bendigo South to Glen Eira.
Pres. Adrian Nelson and Louise and baby Harry, AG Marc Fookes and Bev, Eva
Kalinski Yoshiro and Ian Alexander joined us too.
I would remind you all that the GSE Farewell Dinner is on this Tuesday night 11 April at Leonda 6-30pm for 7-00pm and you can
book by contacting PDG Judy Nettleton on 9427 7233.This is a great opportunity to say
goodbye to the team from Korea and to meet our team who leave for Busan next week.
I also take this opportunity to invite you
to the DGs' Ball being held by the RC of Kyneton to celebrate Rotary and Zonta in the
community. See Item 3.
Enjoy your week in

You may wish to encourage your club secretaries and club presidents to use Member Access
to do the above.
Club members who are not the current club secretary or the current club president can use
Member Access to view their own membership details, but do not have "update"
