DG's WEEKLY message
Rotary Friends,
With the very hot weather today I have been inside catching upon some emails and it seems that many Rotarians have been doing the same as I have received some immediate responses to my messages. This past week we made our first club visit and it was to RC Glenferrie who had a bowls and tennis evening of good fun. Both Fran and I tried bowls for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. Thank you to Pres. Trevor Mackey and the club members for making us so welcome.
On Friday I visited Bendigo to record a DVD at Channel Ten for RC Bendigo Sandhurst and then to meet with the Goldfields AG Anne Peace and the cluster New Generations chairmen who were having a good exchange of ideas.
Unfortunately I did not have time to get to Tullamarine Airport to bid farewell to our Outbound Exchange students but YE chair Geoff Asher and his team were there in force. I’m sure we all wish them a wonderful year overseas taking part in one of Rotary’s great programs.
Fran and I enjoyed hosting DG Philip Hedley and Carol from District 9810 and DG Ray Stewart and Shelley from District 9820 at Kyneton this weekend.
Elsewhere in this e-Zine there is an item on the District Conference which provides profiles of our great speakers. Check out the District Conference website atwww.rotary9800conference.com for registration forms and more information
.
Enjoy your week in Rotary                        DG John Wigley
