DG's WEEKLY message
Rotary Friends,
I’m sure you all enjoyed meeting with your Rotary friends this past week after a two week break and for many clubs it is a time for joining with other clubs as I noted the RC Southbank travelled to Yarraville where they had a night at the cinema. At Kyneton the meeting took place on the riverbank where chainsaws and whipper- snippers were the order of the day as we worked hard then enjoyed a BBQ supper.
Late last year I reminded you all that there have been no applications for District Simplified Grants and I am surprised that this option to get funds to help you with a local humanitarian project has not been grasped. Please look into this opportunity and Contact PDG Jeff Bird who will be pleased to assist you with the process.
On Wednesday evening Fran and I were delighted to meet the GSE team at the home of Team leader Iven Mackay and his wife Marilyn and our District GSE Chairman Neville John and Rebecca were there too. It was a fun night of good food and fellowship as the team is busy preparing for the visit to Busan, Sth Korea in April. RC Toorak’s exchange student Anne Varamaki from Sweden was also present.
Don’t forget that time is running out to get the lower priced registration for the District Conference. A further supply of registration forms and information has been sent to all on-to-conference chairs last week so make your booking now
!
Enjoy your week in Rotary                        DG John Wigley
