DG's WEEKLY message
Rotary Friends and Families
What lovely weather.  I joined my club's visit to Halls Gap where the Rotary Club of Kyneton enjoyed lots of fun and fellowship - Fran was away in Adelaide attending a Zonta conference. It reinforced to me why the fellowship at Rotary is so important as it enables us to strengthen our clubs as we get to know each other better.
The past week has been quieter with club visits and we enjoyed meeting with Point Gellibrand and I met with South Yarra and Laverton Point Cook. It was particularly pleasing to be at South Yarra where I assisted in the induction of two new members following the three inducted the week before.
At Laverton Point Cook the noise from the big storm last Wednesday made it difficult to be heard however Exchange student Gergo from Hungary made it easier on himself with an excellent video of his home town Szeged filmed from a light aircraft flying quite low over this beautiful city.
Last week I referred to the plea from three of our Ambassadorial Scholars for sergeant's fines for October to be donated to the Hurricane Katrina appeal and I hope that you are all taking this on board
.
Enjoy your week in Rotary.                DG John Wigley

Thought for the Week:
One machine can do the work of 50 ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man.
