DG's WEEKLY message
Rotary Friends
Another great week with visits to  Williamstown, Kangaroo Flat, Echuca, Camberwell and Collingwood.
Each club made us very welcome and it is exciting to hear of the many wonderful programs that are planned for the year. One of the highlights this week was our attendance at Rochester's major event for the year, the Farm and Road Safety Expo which this year was attended by 1400 mainly Primary school children, 400 adults and  32 exhibitors. It was good to see the avid attention of the children to the presentations by the fire brigade, SES, police, safe houses and many other community groups.
On Thursday we visited a combined meeting of the Rotary clubs of Brighton, Brighton Beach and Glen Eira where the guest speaker was Her Excellency Cristina Garcia Ortega, the Philippines Ambassador to Australia who spoke of the similarities between her country and Australia.
This coming week we are travelling to Bendigo to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Rotary club of Bendigo, the second oldest club in our district.
I hope that you enjoy your Rotary club meeting this week

Enjoy your week in Rotary.                DG John Wigley
