About Us

Newham & District Landcare Group was started in May 2004 by Jim Sansom.

Major goals relate to :

• protection and enhancement of remnant vegetation and revegetating areas that will provide links between remnants. This encompasses pest plant and animal control, rehabilitation of waterways and roadside activities.
  
  
• development of Newham community through shared involvement in activities that enhance our environment in the broadest sense. This encompasses involvement with Newham Primary school and the Newham Garden Club.
