Children's Education
Even where schools are available, there are many orphans, displaced children
and other children who cannot afford to go to school and are forced to
work. With the co-operation of local schools we assist these children
between the ages of six and 16 by providing them with books and stationery.
In those isolated and mountainous rural villages where schools are not
available, or because of long distance and lack of roads for transportation
where children cannot get to school, alongside of our adult literacy programs
we will arrange separate classes for children between the age of six and
12.
We teach the children Dari, Pashtu, English, mathematics, drawing and
general science. We will enable them to start their formal education from
the classes according to their age when they become able to go to the
schools of neighbouring villages. At least, if they do not meet their
formal education they will not be illiterate.
Future Projects:
Upon the achievement of our initial programs we will take further steps
towards bigger projects such as setting up:
- Maternity centres
- Anti narcotic centres focusing on opium addiction
- Primary schools
- and skill training centres
We will have the latest reports of our activities and achievements on
our website.
Our benefactors are welcome to visit our projects and see where their
money is going and for what purpose.

Schools and Centres
Adult Literacy
The main purpose of our adult literacy program is to assist women in
remote rural areas. We have already started working on this project.
In adult literacy programs we teach Dari, Pashtu, mathematics, basic health
information and human biology. In the first six months women are taught
reading and writing. Later, mathematics and basic health information are
added to the course.
This program will take 18-24 months in each village. At the end of their
course, participants will have acquired the following skills:
- reading and writing in native language
- basic mathematics
- personal health management
Health Care
The board has postponed commencement of our health programs until the
end of 2009 because of the small size of fund.
When they commence, our health programs will aim to educate people about
how better to look after themselves. Therefore, we will include"Basic
Health Information and Human Biology" as a subject in our adult literacy
course.
For the women who do not attend adult literacy programs, we will hold
weekly and monthly seminars to educate them about their health and cleanliness.
Neo-natal Care and Midwifery
Because there are no maternity centres in remote villages, particularly
at the time of childbirth we will assist pregnant women in their homes
by providing nursing help. We hope to provide them with birthing kits,
medicine and adequate food for babies.
For the achievement of these purposes we are going to get a group of
nurses and midwives and we will need a mobile clinic. We have started
managing this project.
