Band Membership

New members of the band are always welcome. Band uniforms are provided free of charge, as are instruments if you don't own your own. If you are a brass or percussion player we want you. We also want you if you are a string, keyboard or wind instrument player and would like to experience the brass band sound. You have the music skills, we have the brass instrument awaiting you. If you are already a brass music-maker, come and sit-in on our rehearsals and check us out.

Music Instruction
Special junior classes are provided to train children to play an instrument, and to read music. Brass instruments are provided free of charge.

Grown up children who want to learn are most welcome. Some basic instruction and an instrument will be provided free of charge. Referral to a professional music teacher and/or a teach-yourself book can be provided if required. Providing you are keen and prepared to practise regularly, a beginner will soon be able to join band rehearsals. It is simply a bit of hard work and confidence. The rewards are worth it.
