CLUB SONG
Adopted by the Whites in 1980, this is sung, loudly of course, to the tune of "Halls of Montezuma" (the legendary battle hymn of the US Marines) after many a fine victory! We are the Whites and strive for victory, We are the team and we are strong, The other teams we'll meet and show them, To think they'll beat us they are wrong. We always play together as a team, Our aim is always for the ball. We play it hard, We play it fair, We never shirk, We're always there, 'Cause we're the mighty Monash Whites. Song History: With the formalised split from the Blues at the end of the 1979 season, the Whites decided that a new club song was in order. Pat Cain, senior coach of the Whites in '79, came up with a variation on his former club Croydon's song ... and the rest, as they say, is history.
