Each year, at the Music Lovers' Society Annual General Meeting, awards are approved for the following year. Each award includes a prize, membership of the Society while completing study, and performance opportunities.

Current awards are:

• H. A. Owen Memorial Bursary
• Jean Robinson Memorial Prize
• Eisteddfod by the Bay (formerly Mordialloc Eisteddfod) Lieder Section Prize
• Harold Newey Award.
• South Eastern Arts Festival Gordon Wright Memorial Encouragement Award (for the most promising singer under 21)
