Junior Tennis Club Championships 2009

This year’s Junior Club Championships will be on Sunday 11th October, and 18th October 2009 at Bulla tennis courts. Due to past success of the event being played at Bulla, and the availability of extra courts, the Club has decided to play them at Bulla this year. The Singles being on the 11th October and Doubles to be played on 18th October. Matches will commence at 9.00 am on both days.

The details of the tournament include:

The matches will be a round robin format to encourage maximum participation by players of all levels of ability.
If the tournament is not completed on the respective days then finals must be played by Sunday 15th November, 2009, at dates agreed upon by players. Remaining matches will be played at Bulla or Mount Carmel.
The fixture and playing times will be prepared by the Championship committee and any queries from that aspect should be directed to the Coordinator Gay Norman on 9744 5522.
Entry forms can either be placed in a box placed in the clubhouse, or given to Gay Norman call for address, or emailed to . The closing date for entries is 7 pm Thursday 8th October, 2009.
This year we have introduced a new category for Beginners. To be eligible a player must have commenced playing tennis in 2009.
If you are a junior team manager, please assist the club by checking that each player in your team has received an entry form.
If a player needs a Doubles Partner, the club will assist and please fill out the form accordingly.
The Trophy Presentation Night will be in late January 2010 at the pre-season get together.
There will a canteen at the event and BBQ if arranged.

This tournament is an opportunity for junior players to compete against their team-mates in a friendly atmosphere, play singles matches and for the club to have a successful social event.
