Are you interested in Victoria's lesser known wildlife?

The Mammal Survey Group of Victoria can introduce you to many of them. Come along and enjoy a weekend camp and learn something of our more elusive native animals and their habitat.

The principal activity of the group is a weekend camp which is held each month in a selected area of Victoria to chart the habitats and species of native mammals. Ground mammals and bats are caught using various traps, examined and identified, and the information recorded. The animals are released unharmed in the precise location where they were trapped.

Bi-monthly meetings are held where an invited speaker usually presents on some aspect of Natural History to our members
