IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SCOUTS

Term 4 will commence with a Going-up Ceremony for Maddy and Ian
on Monday 4 October (7:00pm at the Hall)

Then we will meet as usual on Wednesday night 6 October.

Brenton & Thomas are planning a 2 night bike hike later this Term which will probably only suit the older scouts ( Explorer & Adventurer.)
There is a test ride to Williamstown in October for the day to check out equipment, etc. Any scout/adult/ leader proposing to do the hike, should attend this day so we can assess your equipment, etc.

The plan is to meet at the Hall and ride to Willy, have lunch on the beach in Willy, then ride home again.

The hike is planned to be as follows:
Friday Night: Stay in Hall.
Saturday Morning: Ride to Spencer Street Station & catch train to Geelong.
Ride from Geelong to Queenscliff. Stay Queenscliff Saturday night.
Sunday: Ride to Barwon Heads then back to Geelong. Catch train to Melbourne.
Brenton & Thomas have to organise all this as part of their Green Cord.

Should be interesting!!
Thomas has told me their is a marked Bike Lane along most of the way as well as Rail Trails.
