Road and Rail Camp 100

Celebrating 100 years of World Scouting

15 - 16 July 2006

The Moonee Valley District celebration of the 100th anniversary of World Scouting continued on the weekend of 15and 16 July 2006 with Road and Rail Camp 100, exploring our own local area by bus, tram, train and on foot (in the rain!) and taking in the wonderful sites of central Victoria courtesy of the steam train of the Victorian Goldfields Railway .

About 100 Joeys, Cubs and Scouts from Moonee Valley District, supported by a dedicated team of Venturers, Rovers, Leaders and adult support personnel attended the camp and a great time was had by all.

Now we are all looking forward to the Bike and Hike Camp later in the year, the fourth of our celebration camps leading up to the 100th anniversary of Scouting in 2007.
