The Moreland Theatre Company is a community group based in Brunswick, an inner-northern suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

The company was formed in 1990 by Glenys Lewis and Denis Hine St-Claire, and was known as ‘The Brunswick-Coburg Theatre Company’ until 2000.

The name change reflects the fact that our members and audiences are generally made up of people from the City of Moreland, which includes the following suburbs: Brunswick, Coburg, Pascoe Vale, Oak Park, Hadfield, Fawkner and Glenroy. (Of course, we are always happy for people outside of this area to become involved!)

The Moreland Theatre Company is made up of a bunch of people of different ages and backgrounds, whose common goal and interest is to make theatre.

Members have various levels of experience and knowledge, as well as different areas of expertise. Many enjoy acting and getting out in front of a crowd; some are only interested in working behind the scenes; some are passionate about lighting and sound.
