| Moreland Theatre Company's March 2007 short play season at St
Ambrose Hall. The season included four short plays by local writers and
directors. The four plays included:
The Bet I & II, written and directed by Michael Mezza:
God and the Devil have a monthly coffee together. Suddenly Jesus and Lucifer
appear, and go on to create chaos on earth. Will human spirituality be
safe from now on?
Keeping Your Spirits Up written by Kath Harper and directed by Steve
Gagen:
Sandra, a long-term resident of a care facility, is visited by her mother,
ex-husband, her lover, her daughters and her sister - all in one day.
They all appear so well, but what is it they can't quite tell her?
Poet Cornered written and directed by Michael Mezza:
A slice of life entwined in the realities of romance, in decisions that
two people make and the consequences that follow.
Breakfast written by Jonathan Griffiths, directed by David Noga:
The morning after the night before. How did Linda end up at David's place?
How did Frank, Linda's fiance find out where she was? Frank is betting
he and his engagement ring will win the day. Sally turns up to add some
spice - there is more to this than bacon and eggs!
The plays were performed at St Ambrose Hall, 3 Dawson Street Brunswick
on 22nd, 23rd and 24th March (Thursday-Sat) at 8pm.
