It is time for the return of this annual favourite. You are invited to bring along your treasured heirlooms or items of interest and tell the members about it's history or an anecdote connected with it. |

Cost $5.00pp. | THE McCRAES OF ARTHURS SEAT - A CONVERSATION Guest speaker - The Staff of McCrae Homestead. at The Friendship Room, St. Mark's Uniting Church, Barkly St. Mornington. A conversation piece about the life of Georgiana McCrae and her family. This costume performance is given by the staff of The McCrae Homestead. Come along and give another group of volunteers a warm welcome. |
| Tuesday 11th August 2009 at 10.30am Cost $5.00pp. | VALENTINE FOSKETT - A FORENSIC HISTORY. Guest speakers - society members Val Wilson and Keith White. at The Meeting Room, Mornington Library, Vancouver St., Mornington. Mel 104 D10. A few months ago we came into possession of a rather interesting envelope, dated 1858, in connection with the "First Day Covers" that the society produce. Val and Keith will tell the story of their reseaches to find the history of the envelope and the people connected with it. This envelope has now become a valuable part of our collection. This will be a fascinating story,so come along and support these two hard working members. |
| Saturday 29th August 2.00pm. | ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. at The Meeting Room, Mornington Library, Vancouver St., Mornington. Local sport historian Toni Munday will talk to us about the 100 year history of the Mornington Peninsula Football League. One for all you "footy" buffs. |
