Mens Chorus

Haydn "Great Organ Mass" in E flat major.
The Große Orgelmesse is a very individual work, quite unlike any other mass by Haydn. It is set in the key of E flat major which is unusual for a mass of this period and, instead of the expected oboes, has parts for two cor anglais. This was composed in Haydn's earlier period and is replete with passionate choral singing, fine organ flourishes and a meltingly beautiful "Benedictus". Haydn's use of the organ as an occasional solo instrument gives the work its nickname and reflects a distinct tradition in Austrian church music.
"Christmas Cheers"
Carols and audience participation in popular carols.
