Monash Chorale CONCERT PROGRAM for 2009
First Concert: "The Bright Side of Life" - A program of short, cheerful pieces reflecting the title. Included in the concert will be some well known favourites, both sacred and secular. Among the highlights are Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves and Hallelujah Chorus; Paul Halley’s Freedom Trilogy is less well known but with its driving rhythms is sure to appeal. Showing versatility the Choir will also present a selection of madrigals, folk songs and gospel songs.

Second Concert: "Spring Classics" -
Two oratorios will be performed with orchestra
and guest soloists in the magnificent Police Academy Chapel.

Third Concert: Messiah - When last performed in 2007 this concert was a sell out! Monash Chorale looks forward to singing the masterpiece again. The choir will be joined by four vocal soloists and a guest organist.

Our music includes classical to modern music, Christmas Carols to folk songs as well as major choral works. The choir also performs with orchestral and theatre groups.
