We also have a group of volunteers who working with the Police and other community groups, arrange external activities for our clients. These include coach trips, barbeques and other entertainment. This gives clients the opportunity to meet other clients and form new friendships. These are done at a minimal cost.

The second group is the Home Visit Group:

These volunteers visit you at home if you request the service on a weekly, two weekly, four weekly, or six weekly basis. They work as a team of two persons, one male driver, and one female associate. The visit is considered a social visit, but they will offer a security check and answer any concerns you may have. They also have a list of preferred tradesmen should you need anything done and communicate regularly with other social service groups

Regular Telephone Calls and/or Home Visits

The first Group is the Telephone Group:

These volunteers telephone clients that request the service on either a weekly, two weekly, or four weekly schedule. Should there be no reply, the client is called again within the same day. Should that person still not reply after three successive calls on the same day, the next of kin are called.

 If the next of kin are not available then the Mornington Police are informed.

It is essential that clients inform the register if they are not going to be home for any given period.
