MORRIE MOUNTAINEERING TOUR VICTORIA 2010
Commencing Sat 9 October 2010

This is our first newsletter for the Morrie Mountaineering Tour starting on 9th October 2010 at Seymour in Victoria.

On our last tour I asked everyone where they would like to see on the next tour. To my surprise, more than 80% said they would like to see South East Victoria. So, after the bush fires, I sent out another survey and the majority still wanted to look at South East Victoria. While Iam not familiar with the area, I will do my best.

I have found out, after visiting some of the areas, that accommodation is not going to be easy. Thus, if you know of any good accommodation, or any other area you would like to visit, please let me know as soon as possible.

I have also moved the tour to a later date as there maybe still a bit of snow in the mountains.

I was hoping to visit Phillip Island but was advised that the Australian GP bike races were on at the same time.

I have also tried to make this another 2 and 3 day stopovers as this would allow people to tour around the area.

There are not a lot of kilometers on this tour, but it will be quite challanging as we will be travelling around the South East corner of Australia, up and down the Snowy Mountains range and on the Great Diving Range.

Please complete a Registration Form, that can downloaded in PDF file format, and return to REDBACK leader.
