The Warrenbayne Mechanics’ Institute dates back to the 1870s. The present weatherboard hall was built by and for the community in 1910. It
is typical of many remote Institutes scattered throughout Victoria and
is used by the neighbouring school, CFA and sporting groups and
continue to be the hub of their various communities.
