Stratford Mechanics’ Institute

After a couple of false starts in 1866 and 1874, the Stratford Mechanics’ Institute was finally established in 1882 and the present hall was built. It was massively restored in 2003-2004 and is now the centrepiece for town activities and the annual Shakespeare Festival.
