CENTRAL TO THE COMMUNITY – EAGLEHAWK MECHANICS INSTITUTE

The Mechanics Institute is nestled in Brassey Square, between Peg Leg Gully and Sailor's Gully Road in Eaglehawk, in central Victoria. Over the last two years much work has been carried out restoring and repairing the exterior of the building, with great success. Paved surrounds, access ramps and landscaping complement the beautiful proportions of the Institute, built in the 1880's.
The photographs below highlight the beautiful restoration work carried out in the old billiard room. The colours are authentic heritage tones, and have created a warm and inviting interior.
