The hall which was constructed by Smith Bros. of Meredith in 1907-8 was opened by the then premier, Thomas Bent. Electricity was connected in 1956. But by the 1960’s all the original or succeeding trustees were deceased and management of the hall was assumed by the then City of Corio, now Greater Geelong. A cash book dating back to the 1920’s and a minutes book dating back to the 1930s still exist. Additions were made to the original hall which  operates as a public hall, being used for scout meetings and other activities.
