A Thief's Honor
| Start | About | Empaths | Etiquette and Morality |

There will be no secrets or tricks revealed here, and may I say those that do reveal them are accursed slime.

A Thief's Friend
There not be many friends a thief can have. Their sneaking and hiding removes them from friendly eyes. Their hidden guild is no meeting place. Their guild-mates at times not trust worthy, and sometimes downright evil. A fellow Elanthian is not oft comfortable travelling alongside a thief, and the thief may want to hide their profession. This lie makes companionship easy but friendship hard. It is up to the experienced guild members to take their fellow theives into their care. There a bond of honor and friendship will form like iron.

Stealing
A young thief best be warned away from stealing from another citizen until they have notched up their 50th rank. And best you have the measure of your target first. If being caught a thief may plead an innocence of sorts and return what is taken and beg for forgiveness otherwise. Such is the honourable path of a thief. But for the public, carrying coins a jangling in pocket is inviting a risk, ye will be sure to lose some.

Stealing from a Thief
Some say there is no crime worse than stealing from another thief. Perhaps there is some confusion about the whole stealing matter. I know the realm would benefit from more discussion on this. Stealing is a part of life in the Realm, and a novice thief is best taught their lesson by having their pockets emptied by another thief. The feeling of an empty pocket gives the thief some idea of how their victims feel. The young thief will blush and dash direct to the guild for some intense training in preparation!

Of Secrets and Tricks
A thief will be best to ask their guild friends of such secrets and tricks that the guild dost hold. Kalag is not adverse to pestering either, so keep on asking there. Conversation, travel to such places as Riverhaven, and observation will let ye discover all there is for a thief to know sooner or later. Be patient.

So you want to Join the Thief's Guild?
Nae, I say, ye have made the wrong choice! Go at once to the Empath's guild where ye will find more interest than in the murky shadows, more friends that smile not scowl, and perhaps even more luck.
