Powerwalking
I can't believe no-one told me about this fun Empath pastime. In between healings grab your bearskin Nikes, shake out the stones, and go powerwalking! Well organised Empaths like to shake the stones out of their Nikes at the earliest opportunity. Why don't more people become Empaths and join in the powerwalking!
Rules of the Infirmary
Firstly, there are no rules of the infirmary. Of course there are people who try and enforce their own versions of the Rules. Respect them, and I only hope they will respect you also. Here are some guides: 1) the first person to touch a patient is responsible for healing them or finding someone who can heal them, 2) if you touch a patient after another empath, make sure you send a whisper to that empath, 3) dont tell a patient to go unless they are completely healed (they may go anyway) 4) if you cant finish the healing completely ask another empath to finish the job. If you are a beginner try the following 1) work with a senior empath and do what you can and the senior empath can do the rest, 2) work as the front line touching patients and asking other empaths to heal them. Okay I think there is a rule: ALWAYS communicate with your guild-mates. How can they help if they dont know you are in trouble? If you need to heal yourself take a rest behind the door - there's probably someone there who can help you.
Healing in the infirmary is safer than the field, since you know you have available life power to summon magic to your aid. Therein lies a story.
