Melton Plains Riding Club Inc is a member of the Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria ( HRCAV ). Our rallies are held at Melton Equestrian Park in Bulmans Road Melton, on the third Sunday of each month. Membership is open to all riders who are
over the age of 17 years.
The Club was formed in May 2001 and currently has a membership of 45 riding and non riding members. The Club caters for all interests, hacking, dressage, show jumping, cross country and trail riding.
Melton Equestrian Park covers some 45 acres and is dedicated totally to equine activities. We have a substantial Club Rooms, Canteen and Equipment Storage Facilities to meet our every need.
Our flat work areas are grassed, and maintained by the local council. Our cross country course which caters for riders from Level 5 to Level 1 and is undergoing constant redevelopment and improvement in a joint industry partnership
The club holds an open show and show jumping classic each year along with two horse trials events and a 25 km trail ride from Gisborne to Melton through the picturesque Toolern Vale Hills.
We welcome new members to both rallies and committee meetings.
