The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States announced earlier this year that its National Center for Infectious Diseases has listed CFS as a 'Priority-1 New and Re-Emerging Infectious Disease'. Other diseases on this list include malaria, tuberculosis, measles and hepatitis C.
