DR CECILE JADIN

THE ROLE OF CHRONIC INFECTION IN THE CLINICAL TREATMENT OF CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME

Cécile Jadin, MD   is a surgeon in South Africa. She has had great success in treating many patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome over the past 9 years. Her interest in CFS/ME stemmed from her recognition that the symptoms are consistent with rickettsial infection, following her father's (Professor JB Jadin) work at the Pasteur Institute. Her book ‘A Disease Called Fatigue’ was published in 2002.

NEW EMERGING DISEASES IN CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME

 

Professor Tim Roberts is a member of the Faculty of Science at Newcastle University, New South Wales. He will be presenting his work on rickettsia and ehrlichia, the role of chronic infection in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and a comparison of the symptoms of CFS/ME and ehrlichial disease.

 

 

Date:               Thursday 10th March 2005

 

Time:              2 - 4 pm for general public

8 – 10 pm for health professionals

 

Venue:            Bayview on the Park Hotel, 52 Queens Road, Melbourne
            (opposite Albert Park, not CBD)

                       

Cost:               Afternoon session - $20, for members $18

                        For those experiencing financial hardship, we will accept a donation

 

                        Evening session - $30 (members $27)
