"Wyrd Sisters" was MAYTE's first major scripted play. Performed in the Drama Room (renamed the "DYSK THEATRE" at Ballarat Secondary College), the production was huge success for both audience and cast. The production was given genrous support by the City of Ballarat through its Youth Services and Community Arts programs.

"Wyrd Sisters" is based on the Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett. It tells the story of how the three witches, Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick, reshape the destiny of the small kingdom of Lancre. It is based loosely around the plots of both Hamlet and Macbeth,
