This Cemetery is on private property, originally a station called Polkemmet. In between Natimuk & Quantong on the Wimmera Highway, take the Polkemmet Road (also signed Polkemmet Bridge). Continue until the Wimmera River bridge and the entrance to the property is the first driveway on the left hand side. The property is now owned by the Rintoule family, and as the Cemetery is on private property, ensure all permissions are obtained before entering. Burials occurred from 1860 until 1941 and the Cemetery was gazetted in 1876. The Arapiles Historical Society has done a lot of work on the site (including the erection of a plaque showing the names of all people buried there) since 1966.
