explanation:
One of the reasons for putting this
questionnaire up on the site is because whenever a
government reference group or an independent group is
formed to lobby for our rights as TS men, there is
usually only a few guys trying to represent the whole
community. They are volunteers, they are not
elected.
It is an acknowledged fact that
because TS guys pass so well they become invisible in
society. This is one of the enjoyable aspects
undoubtedly, but it doesn't change the fact that you are
a non-entity when it comes to many legal matters such as
wills, relationship recognition etc.
One of the major problems is getting
the government or whoever to listen to us because we are
such a small group. This is why every voice is important,
even if it is just a bunch of signatures on a piece of
paper. It doesn't mean that you have to come out or take
on a lot of responsibilities. It just means that we know
what we are asking for. Dare to demand things that cater
to your needs as a TS man!
