"722. Full validity passports issued to transsexuals
may show the sex of re-assignment subject to production
by the applicant of medical evidence of re-assignment
."
Men with TS who have not undergone surgery may apply
for a one year passport (provided for the purpose of
traveling overseas for surgery.)
Men who have undergone surgery may apply for a full 10
year passport.
To apply for a passport you will need to provide:
- A letter from a medical professional
- Two photos of yourself that have been signed by a
person who has known you for at least a year and is an
Australian citizen
- Your birth certificate
- A passport application form (obtainable from your
local post office)
