The Macedonian program at this ethic public radio station went on air in 1986.

During the first year the membership (500 people) discussed the contents of the broadcast. The main organisers and presenters were Bob Velinski, Krste Naumovski and Nikola Temelkovski. After a few months the journalists Ljupco Stankovski and Keti Bacac joined the team, somewhat later came Snezana Goneva as a presenter.

Now, eight years later, Bob and Keti continue preparing and presenting interviews and reports of events in our community. During the first year the program covered local news, then it was enhanced by regular reporting from Macedonia - Boris Tegovski, a speaker from Radio Skopje contributed to the program to gain wide popularity in Melbourne.

This year a new coordinating body was elected and a new person is reporting from Macedonia. He is Stojan Trenceski, a well-known journalist from Radio Skopje who has already visited Australia several times producing broadcasts on our people who now live in Australia. He also covered the latest elections for the Commonwealth Government in Australia.

The program goes to air 3 hours a week, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. It brings news from the world, news from Australia, news from the community, congratulations and wishes of listeners, announcements on the activities of various organisations, associations and social clubs. The music is played and sung by musicians of Macedonian background who live in Australia and by folk and contemporary music performers from Macedonia.

"Grandfather Bob and the Children" has become rather special and dear to many listeners because it is recorded with children who study our mother tongue. There is also a report on the local sports events. On Friday morning there is a "Walk through the Aegean Region, Pirin and Little Prespa" with reporters covering events from over there.

The program is also a means of communication for the church organisations, the sports clubs and pensioner groups with the wider community.
