Schools Training Services

Schools training days are full day or half day workshops run by MAD to train school students.

These days are a great opportunity to introduce high school debaters to uni style 3 on 3 debating, interesting topics and each other. After being shown a debate and told a bit a about the finer points of manner method and matter, they get the chance to have a go for themselves. The days are particularly useful for students who have never done secret topics before and/or never been forced to concentrate on debating for longer that the duration of a DAV debate.

We also offer schools the opportunity to have us come to them for in house training sessions and issues SAT (formerly CAT) debates. These can be tailored to suit the needs of your students. Please contact the MAD office if you are interested.

In 2002, full-day training seminars will be held on Sunday February 28, Sunday March 3 and Sunday March 10.

Schools Training Officer for 2002, Hayley Parkes, can be contacted through the MAD office.
