About the MAD Website

The MAD Website has had a long and tumultuous history dating back as far as 1997. In those days, the website was establshed and maintained by Paul Chapman on the Monash Yoyo servers. Its address was http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/groups/mad. When Paul left MAD, the website fell into neglect and was not used.

In 2000, MAD Presient Neela Janakiramanan created the task of establishing and maintaining a new website - a job she assigned to Publicity and Sponsorhip Officer Myles Tooher. The task was duly done and this very website was then set up. 2000 was the start of another high period for the website, and it was again used to regularly communicate with members and alumni alike.

Possibly the most advanced feature of the website at this time was an "online registration facility" for member training, internal competitions and intervarsities.

The website continued in this vain in 2001 (also maintained by Myles Tooher, then President) and in 2002, when its maintenance was taken over (if not improved) by Cassie McGannon, then Secretary.

In 2003, at the time of writing, the website is no longer maintained.
