About Us

Legend Park Pre-School was established circa 1975 in the picturesque Legend Park Estate in Glen Waverley, Victoria. The Pre-school is a feeder to several primary schools in the area, including Camelot Rise, Holy Saviour, Highvale and Weeden Heights Primary Schools.

 

Our Staff

Gina D'onofrio

Gina D'onofrio has been with Legend Park Pre-School for 10 years, and holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education from the University of Melbourne. In conjunction with her assistant Sharon McIntyre (who has been with us for 12 years), they have developed a 4 year old Pre-School program to suit the needs of the children and families of Legend Park Pre-School. Recently, Gina has implemented an emergent style of teaching which is based largely around the interests of the children.

Gina enjoys cooking, gardening and relaxing, particularly after a strenuous shopping spree at Chadstone!


Linlin Zhao

Linlin Zhao has been the 3 year old Kindergarten group teacher at Legend Park Pre-School for over a year. Linlin holds a Masters Degree in Education from Monash University, Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education from RMIT University, and a Bachelor of Arts and Certificate of Secondary School Teaching from China.

The teaching staff, which includes Pam Hill, the 3 year old Kindergarten assistant, enthusiastically provides the Kindergarten group a caring, secure, and stimulating learning enviornment. Linlin and Pam believes children learn through play and the fundamental purpose of early childhood education is to nurture healthy, positive and happy social beings.

Linlin enjoys reading, music, puzzles and art/crafts. Because of her first degree (Chinese language and literature teaching), she is keen to integrate a bilingual (Chinese and English) program into kindergarten group.

Our Committee

The Pre-School is managed by a committee of elected representatives and offers parents and guardians direct involvement in the preschool's operation.

Our Committee of Management is elected at our Annual General Meeting which is held in November every year. Our committee meets monthly for meetings and key positions of our committee include:
