Incidents
In 2003, Launching Place Fire Brigade responded
to around 70 emergency calls. The calls included structure fires, grass fires, scrub
fires, gas leaks, numerous car accidents, car fires, chemical spill, support
calls, false alarms (ie. burn-offs and direct alarms), smoke sightings,
fallen trees and powerlines, washaways, lightning strikes, chimney fires,
and finally non-structure fires (ie. playground equipment). Choose
from the titles below to find out more about incidents and emergency response.
In the past, the brigade has been called upon to attend emergencies both around and out of Victoria. During 1994, 1997 and 2001 the brigade provided personnel for the CFA's task forces to New South Wales, and we have provided an appliance and crew for Killara Group Strike Team* duties around the state.
