'Launching Place Tanker 1' is the brigades primary strike appliance and carries a crew of 6 firefighters. It holds 3000 litres of water and 40 litres of Class A foam, is four wheel drive and has a 16 hp single stage pump. Below is an example of some of the equipment stored on 'Tanker 1':
The CFA 3.4 tanker is primarily a rural firefighting appliance, but is setup to tackle many types of situations, including grass fires, structure fires and small-scale chemical spills. Crew protection is also a feature of the appliance with a Roll-Over Protection Structure (ROPS) and heat shields providing protection for the crew on the back of the vehicle. The new Isuzu tanker replaced the International Acco 610A 3.4 tanker shown below. The 'Acco' served with the brigade from 1988 to 2001.
- 64mm and 38mm canvas hose, 64mm reinforced suction hose, 25mm rubberhose

'Launching Place Support' is utilised for crew transport and initial attack. The support can be used for a range of other duties such as control point, transport of equipment at incidents and quickfill point. This appliance has a crew capacity of 6 and carries hoses, branches, lighting equipment and 500 litres of water.
