funding & support
The LMCLP has support at a number of levels, from Federal government through to local communities.
While core funding for the LMCLP is gained through the Rural Partnership Program (State & Federal Government), the costs of running program sessions (at least 2 per month over the year) are sourced through sponsorship and in kind support.
This sponsorship ranges from regional agencies and organisations through to local business and community associations. In 1999, over 40 sponsors supported the program.

Participants are encouraged to appreciate the features of the Loddon Murray Region during the program. 1998 participants enjoy lunch by the Murray River at a session in Swan Hill.

the outcomes
The program is establishing a network of leaders, organisations and resources in the region to benefit the community. Past participants have gone on to be involved in the management and organisation of the program and broader Loddon Murray 2000plus Strategy.
Participants in the 1999 program are planning and implementing leadership projects in their own communities.
It is expected that participants will utilise the information and skills gained during the program to benefit their own communities and the wider region in the future.
