what we seek in applicants
We encourage applicants from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to nominate for the Program. The program's strengths and maximum benefits arise from the diversity of participants involved. This diversity includes geographic location, occupation, age, background and experiences, interests, activities, etc. There is no age limit, but we suggest that applicants over 18 years of age would gain maximum benefit from the program. Individuals or organisations should not be discouraged from applying due to economic reasons. We would encourage participants to seek support through their employers, local development organisations and community groups. Applications must be signed by yourself and your employer (where applicable). If you are representing an organisation or corporation, you should have their full support. Women and men who are not representing a community or industry group or employer are also strongly encouraged to apply. Given the time commitments involved in undertaking the Program, it is unlikely we would select applicants who are enrolled in a formal course of study, such as part time diplomas. Your Application may be hand written in black ink. If you are using a typewriter or word processor, please follow the original format of the form. Please complete each section in full, typing or printing clearly. We will accept one letter of recommendation - no other attachments will be considered. We will treat your nomination and all information enclosed in your application in the strictest confidence.
