"A leader is an ordinary person with extraordinary determination and a sure knowledge of their destination" "Leadership is action, not position" The leadership program builds leadership skills, explores the major issues facing the Loddon Murray region and facilitates change. A dynamic regional network, through shared experiences and individuals and local communities working together is another aspect of the program. the aims the leadership year Each year 22 - 24 enthusiastic women and men, from a broad range of backgrounds, are brought together from across the region (and beyond) to be informed, challenged and motivated. Selection is based on applicant's interest and involvement in the community, locally and in the wider region. the open forums Since 1999 the LMCLP has run "Open Forums" for the wider community. These increase awareness of the leadership program and it's content, and focus on regional issues, such as communication, technology and human social capital in the Loddon Murray. |
