A business plan is critical to sound management and is the base for access to financial support from a number of sources.
The business plan will:  assess the skill levels of farmers and identify education and training needs.
identify options to improve productivity, viability, sustainability and better water use efficiency
if applicable include possible development / redevelopment option
include a cashflow for a minimum of 5 years
Building A New ERA will provide a grant up to 90 per cent of the cost of the preparation of a business plan to a maximum of $2,700. The farmer must provide the remaining 10 per cent. To qualify for this subsidy, the farmer must attend a Building A New ERA workshop, and have the Plan prepared in conjunction with an accredited provider. The business plan is a prerequisite for accessing further assistance through Building A New ERA. application forms...
