Facilitating Change aims to stimulate changes to improve farm business enterprise productivity, profitability, long term sustainability and water use efficiency within the Loddon Murray Region.
 
The successful replacement of the Torrumbarry Weir in 1997 provides the opportunity to accelerate the redevelopment and economic growth of the irrigation area serviced by the Weir. Loddon Murray 2000 plus has developed an innovative program to assist in the better management of the region's land and water resources.

  a subsidy to prepare a comprehensive businessplan.

   - Development and Redevelopment
  Development and Redevelopment grants have now been exhausted.

   - Interest rate subsidy
  measures to help amalgamate properties creating more economically viable farm enterprises.
  Remaining funds for this assistance will be absorbed by applications that have already been submitted.
 
buttonTraining and Advisory Assistance
  training for growers seeking to improve their management and technical skills.
 
buttonRetraining and Resettlement
  a retraining and resettlement grant to assist and better prepare farmers choosing to leave farming.

buttonthe property is irrigated or capable of being irrigated
 
button the property is located in the Loddon Murray Region which covers the areas of Nyah, Swan Hill, Kerang, Boort, Cohuna, Pyramid Hill, Koondrook, Murrabit, Gunbower and the southern areas of the region surrounding Bridgewater
 
button the property has been owned or operated as a farm business enterprise prior to 25 November 1997, and
 
button farmers contribute at least 75 per cent of labour on the farm business enterprise.
