In this eight week course (2 hours every Thursday) we will be reading and discussing some of the most powerful expressions, especially the poetry, of these four great mystical traditions.

  June 19 & 26: Christian Mysticism (The Dark Night Tradition, from Dionysus to T.S.Eliot)

  July 3 & 10: Islamic Mysticism (Rumi and the Sufi Mystics)

  July 17 & 24: Hindu Mysticism: (Vedas, Upanishads & Kabir)

  July 31 & August 7: Buddhist Mysticism (Tibetan Book of the Dead & Zen)
