Social EventsMembers of Lions Clubs enjoy having fun. The following are just some of the recent functions/events enjoyed by members of the Lions Club of Werribee. Mystery Train Trip Weekend The social committee organised a mystery train trip weekend away to somewhere in country Victoria over the last weekend in May. We all joined the train at Spencer Street and had no idea where we would end up. The train stopped at Sale where we boarded a bus for Lakes Entrance for an enjoyable weekend, taking in the countryside and a lovely cruise on Gippsland Lakes.
Club's Changeover Night The Lions Club's Changeover Dinner was held at the Hoppers Club on 30 June. The induction of the new Executive Officers and Board Members was performed by John McClure. The Club congratulates the new President, Lou Scholten and Carol on his appointment and wishes him the best for the next twelve months. The guest of honor for the evening was the Mayor of Wyndham, Shane Bourke and his wife Kerrie. |
