Statement & Purpose

a) To stimulate interest and activity in the Lied form and Art songs of all countries

b) To initiate, promote and support performances, recitals, seminars, lectures, broadcasts, discussion groups etc., in all aspects of song, by professional artists and experts in the field.

c) To assist young singers and pianists to study, perform and participate in recital work and master classes.

d) To encourage and assist you accompanists to study and perform the said song styles and reportoire thereof.

e) To stimulate audience awareness.

f) To provide opportunities for visiting international and interstate artists to address the society, conduct master classes and give song recitals.

g) To encourage and assist Australian composers to compose for voice and piano/or instrument.
